Graduate Structural Engineer

We are working with a well-established, employee-focused engineering consultancy to recruit a Graduate Structural Engineer for their growing Bristol office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate to join a collaborative and forward-thinking consultancy delivering a wide range of structural engineering projects across sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and refurbishment.

You’ll be joining an experienced team of engineers who are passionate about developing early-career talent and supporting progression towards chartership.

The Role

As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will support the delivery of structural design projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with senior engineers, architects, and contractors, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of projects and responsibilities including:

• Assisting with structural analysis and design
• Producing calculations, drawings, and technical reports
• Supporting site inspections and surveys
• Attending client and design team meetings
• Working with a range of materials including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
• Developing knowledge of UK design standards and engineering best practice
• Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team environment

Requirements include:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning
• Knowledge of industry software such as Tekla, Tedds, SCIA, or similar would be advantageous
• A desire to progress toward chartership
